We had a bad drought here in Indiana last year. All of the invasive bush honeysuckle didn't make berries (yeah!).
BUT..........I've noticed that everything has returned with more vigor than ever! Invasives and natives. I think they must have gone dormant early last year and saved their energy for this year.
I've never seen so many dandelions everywhere in my entire life. And the bush honeysuckle...........is absolutely horrendous. Its huge and strong and everywhere. I've given up trying to beat it back. I'll just focus on its benefit to the wildlife, and hope that in my next life, there won't be any bush honeysuckle. :~)
Have you other folks with droughts last year found this also to be true?
