Being new to the house there are some flowers I am just not familiar with. One is growing its leaves in a circle. The leaves are flat and pointed at the ends. At first I thought they were Iris, but don't think so now. Anyone with some ideas?
Thank you for your help!
Can you post a photo? I am not picturing what you are describing.
I'm having trouble picturing it, too. Does it have a stem from which these leaves are growing? How thick? What other features does it have?

I will try and take a picture in the next few days. The leaves almost remind me of iris leaves but I have never seen them how in a circle. Thank you for trying to help me.
Once I take the picture, I will need help on how to upload it. Have never done that before!
Wow. Well.....is it tall. Is it short. Does it have a stem? A bud? Sun? Shade? Palmate leaf? Compound? Simple? So many questions! What do you mean in a circle?
Hostas grow with leaves in a circle, but you probably know hostas and besides they don't look like iris leaves.
Magic lilies have strap-like leaves, but are not especially in-a-circle.
Did you ever come to a resolution? I was looking at plantains today and wondering if you mean leaves in a rosette growing habit?

Hi Tiam and all, no it doesn't resemble anything mentioned. I will take a picture tomorrow and learn how to upload it. Then maybe we can figure some of these flowers out! I won't to replant them but need to know what they are. There is more on the list now!
Thanks everyone for your help. It 's appreciated!
Iris can grow in a circle if they are way too crowded and are killing themselves off.
