Hi Zoebird,
I remember reading that you do a honey face mask as well as a hair mask. I searched but could not find the recipe details. Would you please share it again? I just got some organic local raw honey and I would love to try both of the masks!

ETA: Do you think I can use regular supermarket (processed) honey for the masks? Or does it need to be raw? My local market has reasonably-priced raw honey too. I just realized that this honey I got is so good that I might not want to use it as a mask - especially the hair mask.

:thankyou:

Just was briefly reading a post on Facebook that a lot of honey most likely has pesticides in it. I would find out where your raw honey colony was from, how much of a distance they usually cover to see what types of areas they are canvassing to know where the honey is coming from. Once I found a place I was happy with, I would use them for all of my honey. :). Chris

Honey mask is very simple. basically, put honey on your face (about a tsp is usually enough). Then gently wash it off.

For hair, it's 1/4 cup honey to 3/4 cup water (or, basically, those parts -- because you can do less if yo have shorter hair). If you use it right away (as a rinse, use a spray bottle, then rinse with water after), then it's a nice rinse. If you let it sit for 45 minutes and then spray it on and keep it on for about an hour (wrapped in a damp towel so that it stays wet/damp during the 'setting' phase), then you're making a lightening process.

Thanks Zoebird! I'm going to try it this week.
