For everyone who has been rooting for Stella's sister to return to health, here is an update about her current situation:

A month ago she was a vibrant young mother, fiancée and business owner who had finally beaten the two bouts of aggressive breast cancer that had taken so much from her in the three years since her first diagnoses. She went to the emergency room with leg pain and numbness expecting, like most of us, to spend a few hours in the waiting room and come home with a prescription. How very sad to hear. I noticed Stella hasn't been around lately. I was looking for something to donate to, as I try to do something new whenever my own financial situation improves, so I donated for this. And also donated to this site while I was at it, as I had been meaning to for a while.

Wow, that is really awful. Does Stella live near her sister? My memory isn't very good, but I am thinking not. :( So hard to be far away from family when something like that happens. My thoughts go out to the whole family.

Hi everyone! I decided to check in tonight and saw this. Thank you so much for your prayers and good thoughts. This has been a devastating series of events for our family, but we are pulling together and trying to help her and her son cope. I am going out to help her relocate to a more wheelchair friendly place. I am really excited to be able to be with her.

I am hoping to be back on the forums again. I need a distraction. :)

Thanks for the good wishes everyone! Tussiemussies, yes, she has therapy everyday. I have a lot of confidence in the care she is getting. This hospital specializes in neurological mobility issues, so I think she is in the right place.

That does sound like an excellent place for her to be. I'm glad she has her son he may be a big incentive for her to all she can....
