View Full Version : job interview tomorrow
Hi all, I have been not wanting to dwell on this or get my hopes up too high (that does not mean I am not totally preparing and I think I will be awesome at this job). So I have a job interview tomorrow! It is similar to my job but at a middle school running enrichment and after school activities. The best part besides getting a change of pace in supervisors is that it pays significantly more! Whew.
So wish me luck, I already chose the outfit and have my list of the top 5 strengths I bring to the job ready to go.
You'll be in my thoughts. Give it your best!:)
You are going to rock it, I know! Good luck!

Good luck!
Sending you my best interview juju! :)
You will do great.
You would be so awesome at that! Good luck!
You will be in our thoughts with our best wishes keeping you company throughout the whole interview.
Okay had the interview, two people were from my department and the other was the principal. I forgot to ask when they will know who they are hiring but other than that I think it went very well.

So glad to hear it!
Glad to hear it seems to have gone well. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.
Fingers crossed you get that gig!
Now comes the hard part, the waiting. Crossing lots of things for you.
I didn't get it, I am glad they told me quickly. Sounds like people in my department doing similar jobs didn't all get interviews and I was likely second choice. The person who got it has been at that school 3 years in the position immediately below it. I got lots of good and encouraging feedback, still trying.
They will remember you and if a similar opening comes up, you will be in line for it.

I think so too, there was a feeling that instead of seeing me in my current position and permanently there that they see me as having potential to move and grow. I think it was the principal who wanted a person she knew and possibly if I had sold myself very very well I could have gotten the job. I was affected by having so many life issues going on, didn;t do as much research and prep. For that I did very well, I got a great compliment on my cover letter (I wrote that in about an hour tops) so that is validating to my writing skills.
Now I am going to get ready for my meditation facilitator training and my French study. Never a dull moment
Too bad you didn't get it this time, ZG, but congratulations for putting yourself out there. It is hard to do -- takes guts -- but it is the only way to keep growing and improving. That you were #2 to a strong inside candidate -- even when you are going through so much stress at home -- is a testament to how well qualified you are. Keep on keepin' on! We're all rooting for you here.
