Yes, sad, isn't it? Some of them are from non-Enlgish language publishers which might be somewhat understandable, but I'll bet that some of them are print-on-demand places.

Iris, these covers may have solved a 40 year mystery!
A friend was once given a report by one of her students on a Thomas Hardy book... said student was quite annoyed that not only was it a boring book but it had no dogs in it at all. ???????

The book title on her report was Tess and the Dobermans.

This is hard to believe........that whoever designed these book covers was so oblivious to the content of the stories. Really bad stuff! hahaha
