In response to a little conversation with LilyB on another thread, I ran across this service and thought there are some people on the boards right now who could use it themselves or know someone who could. It's called Cleaning for a Reason (http://cleaningforareason.org/), and here's the initial description I found on this Head Huggers site (http://www.headhuggers.org/):
For any woman currently undergoing Chemo there is a cleaning service that provides FREE housecleaning - 1 time per month for 4 months while she is in treatment. All she has to do is sign up and have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment. Cleaning for a Reason will have a participating maid service in her zip code area arrange for the service. This organization serves the entire USA.
The Cleaning for a Reason site isn't actually that great, IMO - this little description described what their entire website couldn't make clear to me! Anyway, I hope sharing it helps someone out.
