Tomorrow in Arizona we are supposed to find out if the Medicaid expansion passes. It seems that the governor of the state, Jan Brewer, a few Moderate Republicans and of course the Democrats in the State House and Senate have enough votes to get it passed. I think of so many people I have known that have had health issues and have had to suffer - some not even being able to swing a trip to Mexico - and I just hope for the humane thing to happen. Truly for me it is crunch time - how much are human lives worth in this state, anyway? I guess tomorrow I and the rest of Arizona will find out.....
Something that may interest the more conservative posters here is I am really starting to admire and respect Jan Brewer, she of the famous finger in the face of Obama photo.....Being such a hard core Conservative, I, along with many others, were really surprised that she came out swinging for Medicaid expansion to pass. Gotta say this must have taken some courage to go against her party like that, and maybe even some soul searching? At any rate, this is one reason I stay in Arizona, when you least expect it, it will get liberal on you and surprise you..... Rob
