I wish I could talk to you intelligently about computers and how to fix them. I probably would know more if I were forced into it, but as it is, DH handles that stuff.
First we had internet through the phone, then we got a Sierra Wireless thingamabob (always gave us trouble), then we got our own WiFi device.....which has worked out wonderfully.
Anyhow......a couple days ago, all of a sudden we couldn't access any browser. DH did everything possible to figure out what the problem was. I can't even tell you what all he did, since I'm so computer stupid. I'm pretty good at troubleshooting lots of things and think I'd be good at this, if I took a course. Anyhow..........the only other thing mis-behaving was the Norton 360. DH couldn't even get into it.
To make a long, boring story short..........DH found out that sometimes Norton can actually BE the problem. He turned it off and we could immediately get into everything. But.....now he has to figure out how to protect us, so we're using his laptop in the meantime. But he had to go cut grass, so its all on hold.
Have any of you ever had this kind of trouble with Norton? Apparently it wasn't a firewall issue, but rather a problem with the virus protection. (did I say it right? hahaha).
