I got a lesson in what not to do a work tonight. I am (amazingly enough) a L1 server support person for Unix. I was trying to rm a file and I thought I had the path in my paste buffer. Logged in as root I did rm [paste] and what I did have had the return a the end, so I rm'd something and didn't know what the heck caused so much scrolling so fast. Luckily, it failed out and didn't rm anything. A co-worker (after verifying I didn't crash the server) mentioned that I possilbly shouldn't use past with the rm command. I agree.
