I just learned about this. You can try out tiny house living by the night. Or just enjoy one while traveling.

This is really interesting. Would be fun to really see what living in a tiny house is like and great for people who are considering living like this to give it a try!

Great idea. Not sure if I'd convince DH but I'd totally stay there.

Cute if you are young and can get up and down those ladders....not for someone my age and who can hardly walk much less climb....but, you could clean that thing in just an hour or so.....

I've always wanted to try out a Japanese capsule hotel room:

I stayed in a Tiny House in Portland, though maybe not through the same folks. (I wrote a paragraph about it in this blog post. http://trimbathcreative.wordpress.com/2013/04/20/portland-or-and/)
I definitely enjoyed it. Quieter. More autonomy. Novel. The two cautions were: 1) I never found the graceful way to come back down the ladder out of the loft, and 2) I expected something different from the composting toilet, and decided not to use it because I had other options.
Staying in one is a good introduction, a nice step to take before deciding to build or buy one.

Note: I'm 6' 1.5" and was comfortable - except for that bit with the ladder.

Bae, those pictures are triggering my claustrophobia! lol Tiny house probably I could do. But capsules.... shudder.

Those capsules remind me of the way puppies are displayed in a pet shop.

Those tiny houses are so cozy. You'd either have to be thin, or will become thin; the sink can only wash teeny tiny plates.
