Bamboo fiber bowls??

My niece is a Pampered Chef consultant and a stay-at-home mom, so I try to throw her some bizness every once in a while. One thing I don't have is a nice set of prep bowls. I found these bamboo fiber bowls on her website (which I'll try to link here, but not sure it will work).

Bamboo? Dishwasher safe? So that means you can get them all wet and soak them, etc.? Has anyone here used them before?

Just seems like an odd material for prep bowls, which kinda need to be beat up/knocked around.

I have read that most bamboo products are processed with formaldehyde so I generally avoid them... and would definitely avoid it for any food-containing object unless I had specific information about its food safety. Probably not dishwasher safe at any rate.
