Cosmetic microbeads polluting the Great Lakes

I tried these products once but tossed them out because they were too harsh but the damage to the Great Lakes is news to me.
Those fine cleansing grains are washed into the Great Lakes polluting them and they grains get eaten by the fish thinking they are food. What is the response of the corporate world? Quite positive actually.
