This isn't a joke but made me laugh...when we moved to PA we wanted to make a good first impression, so as everyone else says hello to everyone we started to say hi to everyone too, not really for a first impression but just because we liked it. One day DH went to walk the dogs in one of the nicest neighborhoods and came back and told me he thought he saw a man on his lawn and said hello to him. After he had passed he realized he had said hellos to a scarecrow (it was Autumn) and was so worried that someone heard him and would think we were the "crazy" new neighbors in town. He said there was someone walking a little bit behind him. I laughed so hard at this one. Here we want to make a nice impression and my husband says hello to a scarecrow! LOL
