Birthday Party

Friday night I gave DH a surprise birthday party for his 70th birthday. We had 72 people including our three sons, our extended family in the area, people I graduated high school with, and our neighbors. I had it catered and hired a DJ who played music from the 50s and 60s. I spent big bucks but it was so worth it! He was surprised by the party as well as DS2 and DIL coming from CA. To top it off, DS1 gave him a mediterranian cruise and we're flying to Spain next Monday to catch the boat. It was so wonderful having our family under one roof for a weekend! That only happens every couple of years. I'm defintely living the good life; I am so blessed!

Glo, that is wonderful! It sounds so satisfying to have everyone together, it must have really touched your heart. Having the trip as a gift is amazingly generous!!! Now you both have something really special to also look forward to. Glad for you.

also it's good for parents of teens to read your post and know that someday you'll reap the rewards of surviving their teen years when they become adults and you're able to enjoy them as adults, not to mention getting a cruise out of it!
