OMG this is crazy and fun. So my kids have been better about responsibility and had money to do this on their own so I said okay to kittens. My sister's friend had 3 litters born under a bush on a farm so we went and picked out 2, it was really hard to say no to the rest!

We have had them for a month and now they are more comfortable in the house and allowed some roaming privileges, and they are EVERYWHERE! I will say before the epic tales that it is fun and has given me a more lighthearted outlook. It also helps that I am not doing litter box duty or paying for food. Here are some of the highlights
* kitten Chichi wants to get out of the house, we have a portable AC unit that vents out a window and we tuck in the curtain to block the rest of the window, so when she is not sleeping on the warm vent hose she is clawing at the window to crawl out and has made it a few times
* Kitten Saul is a boy, he literally runs into things, bounces off walls, falls down stairs, and never seems to get shook up, he is totally not sneaky
* Chi chi is sneaky, you can catch her getting into everything if you look hard enough, latest challenge is a giant house plant they are eating from the bottom up (yes we checked and it is not toxic)
* now that they are allowed some roaming at night I hear crashes on a regular basis, thank goodness the recycle bin is noisy but not breakable
* we cannot eat without putting them in a room, I took them off the table a dozen times at lunch before just putting them in my son's bedroom, okay that one is not cute after a dozen times but the rest of this is cute.

Kittens always make me smile. I love cats and kittens... but kittens in my house always make me a little crazy in between the smiles!

My cat is 14 years old and I still hear the occasional crash in the night. It sounds like all of you are having so much fun with your little guys, and that you are going to survive the really funny, but really long maturation process. Once they grow up a bit, they are going to be so wonderful. So cool.

Kittens are irresistible but cats are much easier to live with! So glad you are having fun with them!

We are getting a new one Saturday. A group rescued him from a dangerous outside area and found he had a slight neurological condition that makes him wobbly. He will be slowly introduced to our other three cats.

Kittens are great.

I agree, kittens are great.....great fun. My 2 favorite kitten stories..... the first is when I awoke in the night and found my 5 Siamese kittens sleeping on my back and I couldn't move because I didn't want to wake them. The second is when I heard a commotion on the roof and found the 5 kittens scurrying around on the roof. They climbed a tree by the house and jumped on the roof. I climbed out of an upstairs window onto a porch roof and chased them until I caught them. We all had fun although I was less sure of my footing on the roof then they were. I'm trying to lure a wild Calico kitten that showed up near our farm recently but thus far with little success.

What fun! In the "olden days" when we lived rural we always had cats and kittens and loved them to death. Now, in the city, we only have three cats, which we also love dearly. Don't think I could live without cats.

We just got in a demolition gang of three kittens. Crazy, wonderful, naughty little gremlins! We now have seven cats and they are our only non minimal vice.

Oh how I love kittens and cats. There is nothing like kittens to liven up a house and to make people laugh. Their antics are so darn funny.

I was meditating yesterday. I heard a lot of kitten noise behind me that was much louder than normal, except maybe the daily knocking over the recycle bin. A little later after I was done sitting I opened my dresser drawer and a kitty was snoozing on my t-shirts! I don't see how the chubby guy even got in through the back, and the big question is WHY? I don't keep tuna snacks in my drawers after all
