I think that is such a cool idea - albeit one that seems to have limited applications. But to "try out" an appliance to see if you really want/need/would use one? That would be great. (I've always wondered about getting a ..... is it a KitchenAid? mixer. They're very expensive, and I don't think I'd get enough use out of one. But I don't know what all they do, so maybe I would. Borrowing one from a "library" would be great way to find out.)

But to borrow a crockpot or rice-cooker or hand-mixer just to use on occasion? I'd think a person that would know how to use these appliances, would have these appliances. Okay, for entertaining, you may need an extra. But otherwise.....I don't know.

But kudos to the people to came up with the idea and are trying to help others out.
