Got a case of this at a garage sale for $2... not expired and box was unopened. Thought maybe with coffee? I have never used this but thought it might be worth a try for $2. Says soy and lactose free. The unsweetened part is what makes me wonder what to do with it. Please help!
Ok.. after I wrote this I came across this?

If I have almond milk it's usually with granola. Or a smoothie.
Unsweetened just means it's not as sweet as the other types, it still has some sugar in it.
Given the choice of almond milk or nothing in my coffee (I usually use half & half), I drink it black.
Pancakes! I use it every Sun morning :)
Anything that uses milk and vanilla...I use a biscuit recipe to make fruit cobblers, the vanilla adds yum to the dessert.
Muffins, too.

Anything you could use cow milk for, really.
Or you could ship it to me. I love almond milk.
With coffee in the morning. Add an egg, some cream, MCT, cocoa, whatever. Blend.
Just enjoy a really good deal - make custards for a nice change as well as many puddings.
For drinking straight, I prefer the original......it has a little sugar in it.
DD (who is Vegan), told me about something she makes. She just takes flax seed and soaks it in almond milk, and after several hours in the fridge, it turns into something like pudding.
I haven't tried it yet, but she said it was good.
oops.......just discovered that the vanilla flavored stuff has more sugar than the original......so you could just drink it straight.

Had to look this up... no clue what it was. Just make recipe and omit milk and vanilla???? Also, CathyA... this is unsweetened milk.

Substitute almond milk for milk. You can make all kinds of flavors.

Yes you can make almond milk yogurt, using cultures from regular yogurt...bet it would taste great. You got a great buy there! Lucky you!

I also love how it lasts so long. We never could drink or use cow fast enough and kept having to toss it because it was bad. Yet to happen since we switched.

^^^ This. Between being much lower on carbs than cow milk, the fact that it lasts much longer than any efficiently-priced carton/jug of milk carries the day. We rarely have cow milk in the fridge. We just use the almond milk like cow milk.
I keep unsweetened almond/coconut and unsweetened coconut on permanent rotation in my refrigerator.
I always have cartons of Almond Breeze in the pantry. The only thing that concerns me is the aluminum lining......
The only thing that concerns me is the aluminum lining......
The aluminum in those packages does not contact the contents. The layer closest to the almond milk is polypropylene plastic. Now you may find that to be another concern...
