I have to recover my rolly chair, but I am just measuring the sizes of the seat and back, cutting the fabric about four inches larger all around.

Then, I will sew a casing along all of the edges and insert cording so that I can place the covers over the seat and over the back, pull the cording tight and make a nice bow to keep it in place. That way I can remove them for laundering when they get all grotty again, which puzzles me because where does all that grott come from? Just one of life's little mysteries.

LOL Jilly! Sounds like a good idea though, to be able to take them off...

Plus, it is so much less work. All those staples. Lordy.
