Warning about dehumidifiers causing house fires

A guy on a local forum I'm a member of lost his home a month ago to a fire caused by a dehumidifier. It had been recalled a week previously, but he was unaware of that.

Below is the link to the CPSC recall notice. Canada's equivalent agency is involved in the recall, as well, although the dehumidifiers were primarily sold in the US.

Tussie, forward it to everyone you know! I posted this on a heavily trafficked forum I frequent and many, many people are reporting they have dehumidifiers subject to the recall.
