Rubbermaid has come out with a bento style salad container called the LunchBlox Salad Kit

The salad mix goes in the lower portion of the container. The top part has 3 divided sections for add ins or other items and space for a lidded container which could be used for salad dressing.

They also have similar container selections for sandwiches and different sized/shaped lunch boxes.

I keep hoping CorningWare and pyrex will make a bento set, though there are some non-divided pyrex boxes with locking lids that could be used.

Anyone have bento recipe or bento photo sites they especially like? I used to learn a lot from justbento, but they have been inactive lately. Our library got their book and it is great.

Did look at the links you provided and the first one said BPA (if that is the right term) free. So that is great. A glass set would be really nice. I didn't know they had recipe books just for bento boxes. Am going to look on Amazon for the one you mentioned. Thanks for posting this! Chris

I did a search on Amazon and a few books on this topic came up. Thought you might want to see them:

I have the rubbermaid bentos. I really like them. They don't leak for me, and go through the microwave just fine. The salad container is a good size. When I use the add-in tray, it does keep the ingredients fresher--the croutons don't get gooey from the humidity from the lettuce!

Laptop Lunchbox has a pretty good website, although it's promoting its own bento box. Another lunch is cute, but its focused on kid meals and not for adults. I just tend to pack a bunch of salads/raw fruits and veggies in mine rather than make specific recipes.
