Tonight for dinner, I'm trying a new recipe. Its essentially stuffed cabbage rolls, but instead of the rolls, I hollowed out a whole cabbage and I'll put the stuffing in it. Then bake it in the oven with chicken stock around it.
But I was thinking.......DD is a Vegan and DS is a Vegetarian. Could I make this with GimmeLean sausage? It cooks with chopped onions/garlic/cabbage/rice/celery. I've only used the GimmeLean hamburger for "hamburgers" for them before. Do you think this would fry up okay and stand being in the oven for over an hour? And I could use Vegetable stock in place of the chicken stock.
What do you think?
It would be good without any meat substitute too, but I thought the sausage GimmeLean might make it a bit more tasty/substantial for them.
