Dog died

My big, beautiful, always-by-my-side dog, Shay, died last Tuesday. He was a rescue we adopted 4-1/2 years ago. He was between 10-12; I dearly loved that dog. I have no more tears; my heart is broken.

I'm sorry to hear this. I know what this feels like - I had a cat back in 2007 that was killed by some neighborhood dogs and it was really hard for me to pull myself together and keep going for a bit after that. Best cat I ever had, too, great personality. I'm sure there is a special place for him in cat heaven where there is all the chicken he can eat - this cat loved chicken more than anything else.
