View Full Version : Does anyone here use Cardpool?
Cardpool is a website where you can buy discounted store gift cards. For example, you can buy $100 worth of credit at Petco for $80. This can be dangerous!!! But if there is a store or website that you know you're going to frequent, it's a great way to save a little more money. Since you can always pay with store credit even if you also take advantage of sales or coupons, it's savings on savings.

Have never heard of this but will check it out now that a Christmas is on it's way!
I just heard of this somewhere else too. I am interested in trying it out.
As far as I can see, IF you are truly planning to shop in a certain store AND you won't just buy $78 worth of stuff because you happened to buy a card worth that much, it's almost a no-brainer. I live a dual life with a person who really isn't interested in stepping beyond the pale (pun intended), so 9% off at the Olive Garden, 20% off at Petco and 10% off at Walgreens actually does save us money, albeit at places I go with some reluctance. Occasionally there are even cards available at places I really like, and there are always some available for Home Depot and Walmart, two evil empires that occasionally come in handy.
