This I think is one of the best layouts I have seen, but it wouldn't do for an older person with climbing so many stairs...

Mario and Luigi called. They want their house back.

I can't imagine living like this. Not for me!

Great idea. Not an age-in-place kind of home. But very efficient!

I'm not sure I like all the little levels. One of my priorities right now is "easy cleaning" and this looks like it has too many nooks and crannies.

I'd have to agree with you, Happystuff!

I think this has a place - city dwelling in a very tight space, for example, (do you remember those living cubicles in China, I think everyone got something like an 8*10 room with a 7' ceiling and a door?) but the lack of windows would make me insane. Even looking out over an air shaft is better than nothing.

I think it is something cats would enjoy....but it makes me a bit nervous.

My cat would LOVE this. Me, not so much. :)

Cats? Cats! I like it even more now.

I like it.

I like the window well, and I think that a sky-light across the top (depending upon it's place in the building) would be awesome.

I think we could manage it in there -- the three of us -- if the storage room was desginated entirely for toys, and we could sleep up and toys down (and that could eventually be the kid's room if ever he wants his own room).

So, yeah, do-able. :)

LOL Float on! It could be a really fancy cat climber thing.

No way I could deal with the ladders and stairs.
I would also get claustrophobic.
I wonder if you can close this up into a suitcase, and take it with you?:~)

I realize it is a concept, but you'd never get homeowners insurance on it. No hand rails on the stairs and what is with the "drop off" from the #4 living space (the home office)? It's not very inviting or cozy. But it will do, I guess.

I like some of the other living spaces on this site better.
