Anyone ever make it? DD makes it and convinced me to give it a try. I used 1/4 cup chia seeds and 3/4 cup chocolate Almond breeze. Its "curing" right now in the fridge. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Its funny how, for so many years, chia seeds were only used to make those silly animals/heads, etc. (Chia pet, etc.).....when we should have been eating them! I guess they're packed with great nutrition.

I haven't tried this - I do make chia seed lemonade, though.

What I do is 3 tbs. chia seeds in a one quart canning jar, fill with water, shake, put in the fridge and shake it once in while while it chills and seeds hydrate.

Then in a 2 quart jar, juice from 2 lemons and 1/2 cup sugar, pour in the contents from 1 quart jar and top off with additional water and chill.

nOt so sure. My oldest sister convinced us we should be eating these seeds so my other sister and I started eating them in our oatmeal, soup, etc...and not too many, just the 'recommended' amount, but both of us had gastric problems with these seeds. Gave us both upset stomachs.

Thanks for the recipe creaker.
Peggy.........I was wondering about the GI side-effects. We'll see. The chocolate Almond Breeze and chia seeds is pretty good. I may end up eating too many seeds. That's why I can't let myself buy the Fiber One brownies. I couldn't eat just one.............
Can you imagine what might happen if I ate the whole box??? :0! rrrrr

I keep looking for someone who will share a bag of chia seeds with me. I'm unsure whether I'll like them (or my body will) and a bag around here is over $8.00. That's a pretty expensive experiment for me....
