I LOVE this entrelac tutorial! It's gonna be all about the textile arts this weekend for me... I have a new rag rug started on my loom, and I'm going to try this entrelac scarf. I wish I knew how to crochet, then I'd try these ginger men. Very cute!

Hi redfox, I looked at your link and that type of knitting is just beautiful, really special! What colors will you be using?

Tussie, the multicolored piece is knit from long strand dyed yarn. This is yarn that has many feet dyed in one color, then another, etc. It works out in rough blocks. I don't know yet! I need to go buy some of this type of yarn.

Think that buying the yarn is a fun process, all the colors and textures...do you find it fun?
I absolutely do... I have a huge stash of yarn, mostly from goodwill. And a stash of unspun wool top, which is carded and ready to go. Soooo..... The concept of buying yarn is kinda crazy! Maybe I'll get my spinning wheel out & spin up some long strand multicolored yarn... hmmmmmm.....

You do spinning! How great...I have always wanted to try it but since I just wanted to try it, never made the long term investment in it. Is it hard?
It's not. For an inexpensive way to start, get or make a drop spindle. You can get one for under $20. I bought my hand spinning wheel used. I've owned several, only two were new.
Spinning is a body learning thing, like throwing a baseball. You need to use logic & intention until you feel it, then it flows. With a wheel, learning the feet seperate from the hands helps, then put them together.
It's a delightful hobby! Go for it!!
