This is so hot right now. Even though I went to school for graphics, my handwriting doesn't flow like this. Saw a red envelope with a white address on it done in this style, that really would have been nice to send out the Christmas cards that way...

You know, that person did not pick up a piece of chalk and make purty lettering the first time she did this.
The lettering styles look very much like the ones for using calligraphy pens. Also, she says that she does these on chalk and that the images are printed onto paper. There is not any reason that you would have trouble reproducing this effect by using white colored pencils on black Canson paper. If you live in the US, that paper can be found in Michael's, Hobby Lobby, all art supply stores and some toy stores.
You can practice on cheap black construction paper until you feel confident enough to use the Canson.
Also, there is white graphite tracing paper, so you could find a copyright free image (or several, combining features that you like), trace it off of your computer screen and use the graphite/transfer paper to put it on your black paper.
If you keep it simple, you can refer to your original image(s) to fill in and round out the details.
