For those with dogs - Urine Destroyer

Hi all,

I have two little dogs who hate to go outside when it's cold, and so frequently are cleaning their accidents. I have been a fan of Nature's Miracle, which does work better than soap, but recently tried a product called Simple Solution Dog Urine Destroyer (http://www.amazon.com/Simple-Solution-Dog-Urine-Destroyer/dp/B003VYR6FE) which is much, much better.

It completely gets rid of the odor and stains, and costs a lot less than Nature's Miracle. Since I have started using it, our dogs have been much better about going outside - it completely removes the scent so dogs no longer 'mark' in their usual places. I have used it on tile, wood, fabric, and carpet and it has performed beautifully. The Nature's Miracle for wood floors stripped the poly off my floors - horrible stuff.

Highly recommend Simple Solution! It does have a strong soapy odor for about 10 minutes, so I open the windows when I use it. I don't know if it is as 'natural' as Nature's Miracle - here are the ingredients: Purified water, natural non-pathogenic bacteria, denatured ethanol, mild detergent and fragrance.

I'm sold!

Thanks for the tip! My dog is adult, but she sometimes pees on the hardwood floor early in the morning before I take her out.. drives me crazy because DH and I worked our butts off refinishing those floors a few years ago. I've tried Nature's Miracle, and I didn't think it was all that miraculous... I'll look into Simple Solution.

Unfortunately the only workaround for the dog not peeing is having her sleep in our room with the door closed. I get up and get dressed and we go out right away so she doesn't have time to wander around peeing where she shouldn't. But I really don't like her sleeping in my bed.

We have 3 small dogs and use cloth pee pads that we wash. They go outside if we are home also. It works good because they do not like cold/snow/rain either. If anyone is interested I can send the website to buy them.
