View Full Version : NED!!!!
My third NED (no evidence of disease - what cancer patients very much hope to hear) check-up since finishing treatment for uterine cancer in July. Yay! It was last January when I first noticed symptoms, and after running through the diagnostics route, had surgery on April 11th. I am very happy to be healing well. Thanks for being a part of my healing community.

I am very happy for you :)
What absolutely wonderful news for you!
Congratulations and wishing you the very best.
Thank you all sooo much! I was blown away by how much stress I was carrying all last week. It was amped up by the news that a friend is going back into active treatment, meaning she's having either a recurrence or metastasis. I was very sad to hear this.
The last time I had an exam, three months ago, I burst into tears as soon as my wonderful gynecologist left the room after giving me a NED report. This time I just sighed, relaxed, and slept really well last night. Today was a super productive day. Cancer takes such a toll, including productivity challenges due to the stress of recurrence fears -- called cancerhead among many I know.
And, here is a link to a rock band called N.E.D. It's a group of gynecologic oncologists, who play on the side to raise money and awareness of gynecological cancers. How wild is that!

Fantastic news redfox! Huzzah!
Woo Hoo - free at last, free at last. Lord Almighty Redfox is free at last :-)! Of course I can't get the image of Ned Flanders from the Simpsons out of my head now. Diddly!
I'm very happy for you! Breathe deep and get ready; RedFox is chomping at the gates of 2014!
