Is anyone else using esplanner? After using firecalc a few times, I graduated to using the online version of esplanner. I really like its model of smooth resource consumption before and after retirement. I am now using the desktop version because it allows me to save projections.
I've been out of work for a little over a year and am beginning to wonder whether I'll ever work again. Given my current savings and (hopefully) rather conservative assumptions about future taxes, interest rates, etc., esplanner projects I have enough to live frugally over 30 years without ever working again or radically changing my life style. It helps that I'm in my early sixties and maxed out my retirement savings for several years.
I would like to work a while longer as it would provide me a bit more of the "and then some" of financial independence. However, my current life is sweet and provides me flexibility that I never had when working a job. However, I am wondering how wise it is to base my financial peace of mind on esplanner.
