Chelsea Green Publishing House wrote this nice, somewhat belated, story of William Coperthwaite's death which occurred last November. I just thought I'd share, because his book is one of my favorite simple living books.

He was a true "simple liver" in the same vein as Thoreau and Helen and Scott Nearing--in fact he was friends with the Nearings. He lived off the grid in Maine, designing and building yurts as well as other tools of the simple life. He was completely in love with design and the process of making things yourself.

If you haven't read his book "A Handmade Life: In Search of Simplicity" it's a good one for your simple living reading list.
