This post features silly, useless cat watching videos starring my favorite cat in the word, Maru. Maru is famous for his cat-in-box videos. But I didn't know until today that he now has a kitten companion:

http://shipoffools.com ... a "British Anglican" website and community message boards, which is absolutely hilarious. Of course, they have members from all over the world. Their motto is ITTWACW: I Thought This Was a Christian Website (you can buy a mug with that on it :D ). Very intellectual and knowledgeable religion-wise, but totally irreverent (when they want to be) and totally off the wall. You can't imagine some of the things they come up with. When you "get called to Hell" it's No holds barred :D ... I love it. And I'm not even Christian :D ...

I read the High Country News routinely. It covers environmental issues for the western states. It has been around for years and the articles are well researched and written. A subscription is required to read the full issues, but most of the articles are available for free. http://www.hcn.org/

Also, Orion Magazine, which has a literary bent on living lightly on the planet. It is less scientific and more philosophic. Again a subscription is required, but they are very generous with free articles. One regular contributor is Derrick Jensen, who always offers up some interesting food for thought. http://www.orionmagazine.org/
