Religious openings

The temple I go to is finally going to open for an outdoor celebration of the annual Maitreya Festival tomorrow! There will be no shared meal and masks will be required for any indoor visits (temple, bathrooms, etc). Those not vaccinated will also be asked to mask at all times. The outdoor celebration and message from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama are the most important parts, but it will also be soooo nice to see the people I haven't seen irl in almost 2 years! Plus, just being able to walk the temple grounds is so relaxing and wonderful!

Just sharing my happiness. :) Hope others have been able to resume some of the important aspects of their spiritual lives.

Pouring rain and totally wet, but a wonderful time! Just being on the grounds and seeing the monks and hearing the prayers, chants and mantras. Everyone wore masks, even outside and everyone seemed to have a fabulous time - getting soaked and all!
