okay----i have a mommy catt, and two a her offspring. they are all adults & neutered, so don't lecture mee. but yeah---the family units do seem to hang together. this is not the only case study; i have had several family units, where mom and her adult offspring are close-knit. doggs, too. yup. hope thatt helps you some.
Well, we ended up bringing the new ladies home friday. They had not been available for adoption because they just got spayed a week and a half ago. The shelter is packed with young cats so they couldn't hold them for us and we didn't want to risk someone else adopting them over the weekend. They have settled in just fine. Super loving and playful. They're ready to leave my office and explore the rest of the house. Our older kitties are not ready yet but after MIL and SIL leave tomorrow we'll begin the process of introducing them.
And they forced me to get around to a project that I'd been putting off the entire four years we've lived in this house. Organizing all the cables under my desk. The little girls love to chew on everything. Now they won't electrocute themselves!

We’ve renamed them Dr Jill and Roselynn. That seemed to make sense since the older two are Michelle and Eleanor. We now have four lovely First Ladies. If one had been a boy I guess they would have been named Doug…
okay----i tell you what---if you kids would all pitch in an amount equal to or greater than that which you waste on restaurant meals, vacation trips, concert tickkicks, and nice clean safe nice NEW vehicles, why i could purchase that old, unsightly eyesore that was built in the 1950's and rehab it into the world headquarters for the HBCC(Hermit Batchelor Catt Clubb). Yup.

The condos have an exhaust fan system to keep the air in but even so as soon as I opened the door to one the little guy sneezed out into the common area. When I got home I immediately changed out of my clothes and took a shower.
Dr Jill and Roselynn have totally settled in. Eleanor and Michelle don’t like them yet but they tolerate them. We’ve let the kittens out several times now for a few hours supervised and the older ladies just sit and watch as the kittens run around having a major PARTY.
