Thanks. Since it is normally night shift, (eventually) there is no one in the building. But there are set things that need to be done and it leaves little time for cleaning/doing any "extras". These kind of days are nice for getting to some of the extras every now and then.Quote:

That is certainly better than what I saw looking out my patio door on Wednesday evening as I was letting the dog out. There was this black mass that looked like a man laying on top of the snow. I double checked with the patio light on and realized that it was the BBQ cover that the strong wind had loosened on one side and blown against the picnic tableQuote:

A skater like this comes along once in a lifetime. She is magnificent. She’s only 15.
I stopped watching figure skating several years ago when the emphasis became about triple jumps. Only half the girls could complete them, and a quarter of the girls completed them sometimes, and almost all of them signaled when they were going to do a big jump. I don’t care if the skaters can do a double or triple, I simply don’t care about little jumping beans and I felt their routines were ruined by the “is she gonna make it or not” focus on jumps. My last favorite skater was Sasha Cohen who is gorgeous, artistic, and could not do triples.
I thought Tara Lipinski was like a little jumping bean, did not like her as a skater. But this Russian Kamila girl is effortless in completing these triple jumps that the skating world seems to think is important. She does it superbly and consistently. And more importantly to me, her spins and her artistry are remarkable.
I agree! I just watched her routine. Absolutely breathtaking, and as a former competitive figure skater (way back in the mid-'70's) I know how hard all that is. Like all sports, the bar has gotten so high to be at that level it's unbelievable. She has the perfectly amazing blend of artistry and athleticism!
I watched some of the dirt bike/motocross competition a few nights ago. Talk about jumping beans!
The second biggest city in my state lifted its mask mandate last night. The effort was led by two men, one being the Health Director, who is also a pediatrician. There is hope!
