I think our rants and ravings are morphing, lol.
Had an ebay seller take my money and then refund me half because apparently there is a small scorch mark on the sleeve. I don't care; no one will see it as I am wearing it at night to the wedding. Very nice of her!

Our escape, safely and comfortably, from New Bern, NC yesterday. We arrived at a lovely time share Friday, had rain and wind Sat. from Hurricane Matthew, power outage (but the water worked, so enough to drink, wash hands and flush the toilet- a treat for us in a power outage) then beautiful sunny days marred by the worry of how to get home to MD. We were able by watching the news and NCDOT web site to plot our trip home at the one day when the Tar River had started receding and the Neuse River had not crested to get home with no detours and no water on the road. My heart aches for all those who had to leave their homes, lost their homes or family members. Water is scary! We are feeling grateful.

A woman in N.C. was trapped in her home for 3 days with snakes and alligators swimming outside - scary!

DD (17) went out all on her own yesterday and gave blood. I'm so impressed with her! This is a kid who is terrified of needles, but she read that "giving a pint of blood can save 3 lives."
She said her super power is being type O-. She's my super hero!

My new "Foldie Blue" a Folding Citizens Bike. I debated and debated and took the leap. I LOVE IT. 24 inch, folds up or open in less than 30 seconds and ready to roll. I so dislike racking up my regular bikes that I seldom did it and so ride in the usual areas. This sweet bike I keep in my trunk and go as I feel. I went to two Rails to Trails in two states this week 60 miles. Pure Heaven on Wheels for me.
