Megyn Kelly is claiming some of that billion dollar campaign chest of Kamala and Walz was spent on celebrity endorsements. Oprah company Harpo productions got $1 million.
I understand her campaign raised a billion dollars but finished around twenty million in debt.
To be fair, we do not know how much Oprah contributed to the Harris campaign. It might have exceeded $1M.
But all of those celebrity rallies took place to build crowds since Kamala couldn't do it on her own.

The title of this thread is “Endorsements” so here I guess we can talk about celebrity endorsements.
That guy on MSNBC, Joe Scarborough, is getting a lot of flack for his turncoat performance on Donald Trump. After years of doing everything he can do to keep Donald Trump out of the White House including considering him Hitler, Scarborough and his wife, Mika someone, visited Trump at Mar-a-Lago a few days after the election to pay homage. Is homage an endorsement? No, of course not, but it is interesting,
Scarborough is like other cable news personalities who never show up on podcasts I watch so I had no idea who Joe Scarborough is. I couldn’t hsve picked him out of a crowd. I had seen his wife Mika one time when I watched a clip of Russell Brand on their show where Brand was promoting his tour. This was several years ago, and they treated Brand rudely and so oddly it was befuddling. Russell Brand was hilariously smooth and sophisticated in putting them in their place. It’s a great clip.
But Scarborough was not on that segment, and so I came away from it thinking that show “Morning
Joe” was about a bunch of people sitting around, much like The View, and the “Joe “referred to coffee. I didn’t know there was a man named Joe on the show.
So in recent days I learned Scarborough used to be a conservative politician and was actually considered as a Vice presidential candidate by Trump in 2015. That is amazing considering all the hatred towards Trump this Joe fellow has shown especially in recent years
