The same should happen to the wannabe king here!
trump is taking about naming all kinds of things after himself (sometimes using blackmail tactics, think New Jersey tunnel).

okay----yah, this is sickening. obviously, he should be given a pre-emptive pardon, provided that he comply with some sanctions and restrictions. we don't need a show trial; only The Media wants that.
Hmm, it turns out they do have Prince Andrew in a can.
Oh, I always thought that was Albert. ;) Either that or we were crap at prank calls.
You are right! I am so sorry, I just read the headline and assumed he was being arrested for the thing that insiders said he would be arrested for, having personal gain from his assignment as an ambassador for commerce.
As you say, it is an arrest about his alleged involvement with sex trafficking.
Head scratch - I think about how all this Epstein stuff was supposed to implicate Mr. Trump in some way but instead is implicating anyone but him.
LOL, it was Albert, but sometimes you gotta work with what ya got.
oh, please, if there was believable stuff in those Epstein files about Donald Trump, don’t you think the Biden team and the Hillary team would’ve mined that material by now,? Although frankly, I’m surprised they didn’t make something up and insert.
and all of that said, I think Trump knew Epstein, did a certain amount of palling around with him because they were New York/Palm Springs buddies, for a while anyway.
The story I've seen is that he is charged with "misconduct in office," which carries a maximum sentence of life. There is no mention of sex abuse or trafficking, although one might read between the lines.
The NYT had a list of high profile people who have resigned or otherwise had fallout from the files. Most of them had financial ties, friendships, or correspondence with Epstein, but associations with his sex trafficking ring seem pretty flimsy without more evidence. It's all pretty shady but the commission of actual crimes or related legal charges is implied at best. Not to say they are not a slimy bunch deserving of whatever happens, but some of it seems like a dart toss of wrongdoing.
