If you say you are staying for a month at a time you get a much better rate than if it is just weekly, so allow for that as well. It is the first level of not having responsibility. :) They even come in and clean your room and change the sheets every week. And have on-site clothes washers and dryers.
I now live in a +55 mobile home park where I own my mobile home and pay lot rent. Not a lot cheaper than the hotel room was. My goal is to get rid of enough of my stuff to fit into either an RV or back to the Extended Stay hotel. It wasn't a bad gig.
