I don't understand why people support this man:

I am going to speculate that Trump will chicken out on a Harris debate if proposed and will make a phony excuse.

I recall her being pretty strong in the 2020 primary debates. We really haven't seen her exercise rhetorical skills throughout her vice-presidency, but so far, I think she has started out strong at least in her campaign speeches.

I was thinking about her experience as a prosecutor versus a convicted felon charged with other crimes. I don't think she is an especially good communicator, but she projects a strong image and I don't think she would let Donald get away with his fabrications without a good rebuke. And there is a big opportunity to turn the age card back to Donald's mental health. I also wonder how Donald would do one on one with strong female figures. I would like to see it, but I think Donald is just going to rest on his strong support and not risk things.

As far as rhetorical skills go, Trump does not rate very high in my book and it would be no match, but his manner of going of the rails and being bombastic probably appeals to some.

I was so inspired when she said “it is time to do what we have been doing, and that time is every day”.

It looks as though he has said he would be willing to debate. So my suspicion was wrong.

I see where he once said he would debate Harris, but he's now backpedaling. Best I can figure, he says they may change candidates again.
