Had roasted spaghetti squash with homemade ground turkey sloppy joe filling. Not sure what's tonight. I've still got a miserable cold (2 weeks now!) and really don't feel like cooking.

Rogar: The polenta with red sauce sounds good; we should try it.
Kay: Sorry you feel lousy and hope you are better soon.
Not sure for tonight either. Seems to be plenty of leftovers in the fridge, so maybe that.
Kay, sounds like a comfort-food soup night. Hope you feel better soon.
Black eyed peas and collards, of course!
We had split pea soup (crock pot). Feeling better today. Have been able to string together a couple nights of good sleep. Makes a ton of difference. Thanks!
My son flew up from NJ a few days ago and we've all been together for 3 nights now, so today I made two stews--one beef and one vegetarian.
We had smoked salmon bagels, and we also go a nice Mediterranean olive antipasto assortment from the grocery store that was very good. We had the olives in this, which I pictured full of olives the whole time I was making it and just picked up from the studio yesterday.

Perfect olive dish, rr! Beautiful!
We did snacking - mozzarella and tomatoes, leftover roasted veggies, etc.
Leftover ham, new cabbage, black eyed peas and a buttered baked potato. Last night we had our traditional grilled out side steak (in MD- no snow but 38 degrees. He has grilled it in the snow before. We've only missed once in the last 20 years.) and home made french fries!!!
I'd been planning a special New Year's meal for a while. Ciopinno with focaccia.
