3 more quilts to charity group today! Attachment 3103Attachment 3104Attachment 3105
Started on the dining room today. Problem is all the stuff which got pulled out is now in the living room, kitchen and hall, which had been clean, sigh. But I’ve started the reorg required. I had no idea how much stuff I’d stashed around the edges of the dining room! This leaves two chunks of the huge kitchen with accumulated mess and stored “stuff”. Mostly in boxes. Some of it is flea market fodder. Some of it is “keeps” another chunk is things to sell. The obvious trash is gone.
I got rid of the years old oatmeal.
Drawer full of owner manuals, most of which we no longer own the item
Set of walkie-talkies from child's room clean-out. Would not charge and one literally had pieces breaking off in my hand. Garbage.
A bunch of sweaters (mostly mine but some were the husband's) and one coat.
We found a good place to donate the old auto repair manuals. Hurrah!
Started today the process of pulling together all the paper organization bits. Daunting, this goes back years...
A manual for a blender I no longer own.
Got rid of some outdoor fine plastic netting for the garden. Last year it killed two blue runner snakes before we took it down, don't want to go there again.
Put a very nice sweater in the donate bag. I just don't like the way it looks on me and I have plenty others.
board game we have never played, with such complex directions it was exhausting just to read them
Since Jan 12th to Jan24
--1 Roll of ribbon not sure how old to donation box
--1 very large suitcase..I can't lift if it is full so silly to keep it. Sold on Kijiji
--6 bottles of nail polish very old or colours I have no idea why i have. Still have 6 nice ones.
--70++++Spools of thread Sold on KIJIJI Oh no worries I still have plenty.
--and 1 more dried up pen....lol
Total to date 110 yeah! It seems I have to look harder to find things put when I
look with an eye to what I really need and what I am using I see more!
Danna, that’s great. I also donated a suitcase that was too heavy when full. Even my husband who doesn’t like to get rid of stuff said to. Emptied my bookcase today and only kept about 10. The rest will go to the thrift store. Filled it with family pictures and the 8 doggie urns.
The old kidney beans, which did not taste good when cooked. I have two more jars of beans to cook and try from years old decorative canisters.
I keep a medium sized box under a table in my guest room. In it goes any item I'm done with or haven't used. This week it was full. Off to the thrift store along with a griddle and a breadmaker-dropped off to us by my sister. Breathe................:)
Donation pickup this morning - 42 items. Yay!!
Impressive happystuff.
Great happy!!
Thanks! Getting the "donation corner" empty always motivates me to keep going. And reading how everyone else is doing is also very motivating.
Jan30th my goal this month was 3 a day times 31= 93 items
---today I tossed 2 gift bags unused but, worn from be around too long.
---2 gift bags and package of matching tissue to my volunteer gift shop

(didn't make much but, out of the closet and to people who can enjoy them)
Total to date this month 116
Yeah I have out done my goal. The great thing it is getting harder to find stuff!
That’s a lot Danna!
When the clutter in your life is electronic...........
My goal today is to continue through my email inbox until it is ZERO! I've been chipping away this week. I'm down from 235 to 94. Some simply needed to be read and deleted. Others have information I may well need in the future. If it's family stuff, it is filed. If it is instructional it is now a document in my files.
Today? ZERO! I cannot wait!
I have a 2nd email address I use for websites and blog comments as well as 2 subscriptions. I started keeping it clean early last summer. It currently just has 10. 7 have a 1 hour video I really want to view and I'm very bad about sitting patiently for 1hour watching a video. They all require full attention.
Happy Friday and 1/31-final day of January is a great day to FINISH SOMETHING IN YOUR LIFE!
I run my life on a “0 inbox” principle. Anything left in it is on my “do this thing” list.
It is empty 5 out of 7 nights when I go to bed.
I am similar to you IL.
Mattress topper to go to BIL, ready except not yet addressed. Paperwork ready to go to SIL, also not yet addressed. Redo to farm, ready to go in the mail. Figured the storage rent today for last year. If we just buy a shed it will be cheaper!
