Any other puzzlers out there?

And here is the other one I started. Funny story with this one, I put all the pieces in the box bottom (as I normally do) and turn the lid over for the picture. I started pulling the edge pieces and putting them together, but they weren't matching the edges in the picture on the lid - it was as if the outside picture edge had been left off. Anyway, finished the puzzle, put the pieces away and then caught a glimpse of the back of the box bottom... the FULL picture of the puzzle was there on the back of the box! LOL.

I've always found those to be so small as to be useless without magnification, though.

This is one of the puzzles I "rescued" from the school. Missing 6 pieces, but still doable. What you probably can't see in the picture is that each puzzle piece also has Peanuts scenes/characters on them.

I would like to buy a crossword puzzle book for a friend as a gift. It seems like there could be some puzzlers here that could help, as it's a foreign world to me. He does the puzzles in the local newspaper without too much difficulty. The NYT puzzles seems to have some popularity for some reason. When I've checked out Amazon there seems to be all levels of difficulty and variety of sources. Thoughts appreciated.

I bought it for Dad and then took it from his room when he passed away and we are finishing them. They go M-F and they get harder as the week progresses (did not know that).

very cool. I am finding lots of greeting cards with Peanuts on them over the years. Just gave Mom one for Christmas. Found a Valentine card to her from 40 years ago, also Peanuts. I think that was what we always bought each other in our family. Want to get my granddaughter a book of Peanuts cartoons, she is just the right age.

I like to photocopy the puzzle page and leave the book intact. NYT puzzles are the gold standard, I think.

Add a cryptic crossword book to the gift--such devilish fun!

OP Cathy A has not been heard from in a long time. I remember her as having many health issues.
