At this point, I guess this is laughable: I have sent the same document to a National Garden Club official five times. Yes, count them one… Two… Three… Four… Five…
The first time she would not accept the document in digital format because the electronic signature function would not work in my Apple environment. That’s not my fault and it’s not operator error, because it worked fine in my Hewlett-Packard environment.
The second time I sent it with my signature via snail mail to the address we are always admonished to use, the “current one on the website. “ She said she didn’t get it.
I put it in the mail a third time. Only then did she deign to tell me she was not in Arizona, the address on the website. She was in Massachusetts. Thanks lady. Her mail is not getting forwarded from Arizona and both efforts number two and number three came back to me eventually through the mail.
Effort number four – – – I cannot get my scanner to work. So I took a photograph of that document with my written signature and emailed it to her. For a reason unknown to me, she didn’t see it or she didn’t get it or she doesn’t recognize it the email…
Yesterday I put effort number five into the US Mail to her Massachusetts address. I wonder what reason she’ll come up with next as to why that one didn’t work.
This reminds me too much of the days when I actually had to work for pay. These ridiculous efforts were a stupid waste of time, but at least I was earning money for it.
and I won’t even go into the Byzantine communications between me, her, her superior in the chain of command, as well as the top dog, as to which forms I am to send in and when. Each one of them gives very clear instructions. The only problem is these instructions differ from one another.
thank you for letting me vent about this very small but irritating thing. DH is tired of hearing about it!
