Thank you for the suggestion fidgie! Of course we're 1.25 hours from the nearest Best Buy, but if I don't find someone to take the other one off my hands this winter.....it would be worth the hassle, on one of our trips to the city.

Love the dog toy rotation idea! In Jesse's case, he doesn't play with some of his toys, so I'm going to toss the ratty stuff, wash the rest, vacuum the toy basket and then find a better location for it than in the dining room.

We had a great decluttering day here!
My SO and I cleaned out our storage shed, and I took loads of stuff to both the kids' consignment shop and the thrift store.
In the end, the kids' consignment store took 13 items, and the thrift store got 39, so I am now at 52 for the month.
I am also packing up a box of my daughter's clothes for her cousin, but I won't count those until I've mailed the box off.
Oh, actually, just threw out a pair of my daughter's pajamas which had holes in them and were too small. Now at 53.

Starting out slow - 4 wind up emergency lights that wouldn't hold a charge and one defective flashlight.
Returned a sweater to an online retailer, so I'm up to 55.
I know it seems weird to count this, but not returning things I'd bought and didn't really want has contributed to my clutter (and my money issues) over the years, so I'm counting it. Progress!
