Had good luck moving some lilacs that were too close to the house to the back yard by the fence. It was horribly hot when I did it and I thought they were dead, but after all the leaves fell off and we got some rain, they are starting new leaves and doing really well.
Also started some columbine and pinks in 5 gallon buckets and yesterday transplanted them to the garden so next year, will have many more perennials. It's a new garden that looks like nothing this year, but I have hopes for next year--rue seeds are coming up, transplanted some lavender, bought some end of the year roses for 50% off.
