"Sheriff’s Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez said an overloaded light socket in proximity to piles of debris appeared to be the cause of the fire."

Fire was Thursday night. By Friday a sheriff's deputy had performed the fire investigation and rendered an opinion. Very efficient outfit they have there.

Especially since by the time that article was published on your site, the actual official statement was:

"Arson investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said the cause of the fire remains under investigation."

I can recommend some good programs for arson investigation, if you have an interest. It pays pretty decently, and is intellectually interesting.

OK, once you have your FF1/FF2 certifications, I'll get you hooked up. That will show you have interest, and the underlying skill and experience.

We get it - you don't like hoarders.

Sounds like they might have escaped if they had had a few more things.

"Deputies said the home had no smoke detectors."

Sorry ultralight, I couldn't resist that one.

Wow, hard to find this story amusing, with the death and all.

I feel like Bill Maher and with the back and forth, thought someone should bring the marshmallows to the arguments here.
Humor is both subjective and a defense. One doesn't have to be a subject in the kingdom, but you can't rule that kingdom either.

Do we have or should we a minimalism section?
Simple living isn't about minimalism, as they can be joined/connected, but that isn't the only way.

What a super idea, a minimalism section! I would definitely support that idea!
