Not frugal: I ordered several pounds worth of ostrich meat from an ostrich farm in Illinois. DH mentions now and then missing his hamburgers. everything I’ve read likens ostrich meat to hamburger. His birthday is coming up, so I’ll surprise him with either a hamburger or an ostrich steak.

Made little salmon pattys, brown rice, a green salad and "nice cream" a non-dairy dessert made from frozen bananas, cocoa, almond milk, vanilla all mixed up in blender. Our new fav dessert when the chocolate urge hits. Also good with fresh blueberries, strawberries, or peaches.

Since we have our main meal at lunchtime, I made muesli and we are having it with yogurt in the evening. It is enough.

So far the plan is to make mushroom patties, with roasted cauliflower and broccoli.

My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

Baked red lentil falafels. It's an experiment.
