Spaghetti squash with just some diced tomatoes, parmesan and seasonings.

Last night I had a temper tantrum and told DH he WILL eat tomato based soups! Our freezer is jammed with tomatoes. He eats spaghetti sauce just fine. He eats chili. I told him to think of tomato-based soup as chili without beans

I cannot eat all of these tomatoes myself even though I like tomato soup a lot. I like tomato-based vegetable, tomato-based white bean and chicken, tomato-based etc. etc. soup—I like it all. We must eat at least ten packages of tomatoes in the next coupla months because I can’t see to the bottom of our freezer.

And speaking of chili, we went to a chili cook off last week where we voted on the best of a dozen pots of chili. There was one chili there that was simply outstanding. It had heat, but it also had a wonderful intriguing aftertaste.

It makes my own chili seem bland and uninteresting

This afternoon I pitted cherries from the deep freezer. The cherries were labeled “2005” year. Then DH made a cherry dessert for tomorrow’s dinner.

Our friend had a bumper crop of Pairs this year so she gave us two sacks of them. DH is peel them and is now cooking them in a sugar bath.

Pretty much a traditional family Thanksgiving for us - turkey and numerous sides. My portion is roasted cauliflower, apple pie and a green salad. (still have to make the salad - lol) Best part, however, is being with family.

Roasted cauliflower! That’s what I’ll do with the cauliflower. Better than boiling it, thanks for the idea.

I’m going to my goddaughter’s maternal grandparents’ for dinner. I’ve known them for years. They always host. I’m taking Brie and crackers and a cherry pie I had to buy frozen as I couldn’t find any non frozen pies last weekend

Okay---Bread. But yeah---bread from Walmart, that is sprinkled with seasoning. Maybe later, I'll have sketti. Yup
